This is not true. A Delta pilot will not be bumped off a Delta jumpseat for weight reasons though. They will bump an OAL jumpseater. Even Delta Connection pilots.
Even a mainline DELTA pilot can be bumped if they have not reserved the jumpseat ahead of time, ie walking up to the gate to list. Only JS reservations are considered into the weight and balance release.
