I am trying to remain open minded but right now this deal seems pathetic.
Two separate discussions. One is about the T/A, and the other is a small tangent about politics. Guys are finding it significant that 5 voted against. I'm meerly pointed out that these 5 seem to vote that way in most matters, and I'm unimpressed.
My reps voted for it. Are they bad people? I don't think so. Do I need to follow their lead? I don't think so either.
People will try to link the two discussions, and use 5 dissenters as ammo. I think it's stupid to use 14 "for" votes as ammo, so I'm not going to give credit to either side. The real discussion that's about to unfold isn't about whether the T/A should be passed on to us, but about how we will individually and collectively act on it.
