Since the departing aircraft are on the AT side, all furloughs would come from that side of the partition. Even the SWA new hires would be safe..

Are you sure about that? You can argue that a reason for a possible furlough is just as much the deferral of 737-800s
Also think it would be hard for SWA to justify keeping pillots hired after the acquisition and furlough AT pilots. Even if they have the contractual right to do so.
