I read your term sheet via a friend of mine. My question to you is do you feel that this is something negotiable? Reminds me of something I heard once. If you're on a first date with a girl, and she tells you she plans on sleeping with a different guy every night, has every VD known to man, and plans on sucking the life and money out of you; are you going to ask to see a wine list, and ask her about her cats, or are you gonna get up and leave the table. It seems to me your ALPA leadership just wants to sit at the table and kiss the a** of management. Some things are not negotiable, i.e things involving your life and occupation. If your union is not willing to stand up for its pilots and demand what is fair and just, then it's time for new leadership.
The fact that your LEC held a meeting at such a place at such a time, tells me what they think of their constituents, and that's not a whole lot. Just the fact that they did something so absurd screams to me, they need to be ousted. I'm guessing you rather, get the VD and lose everything than standup for your rights.
