[FONT="Georgia"]- Have you been to a job fair SINCE you were put in the pool?
There've been so many changes with the entire application process, online referrals, even HR personnel, etc. since then. For example, I understand PM has been promoted and is moving to a different department.
If I were you I'd show my face at ANY job fair with a smile on your face reminding them of your existence. Tell them you’re still very much interested and that you’re hoping for some advice on how you may “improve” your score.
Thanks for the advice. Any words of encouragement are always welcomed ones.
I have been to job fairs, been to SDF, emailed, voice mailed and just short of selling my soul to the devil let Phil, Buzz, Page and others know how interested I remain.Quite a few pilots in mgm't , new hires, and on line pilots ask about my status and let them know how interested I remain. I am going to go to another job fair in March to say hello again. The answer is always pretty much the same. Being in the pool is based on a score that was received at the time of the interview. The pool is reviewed to the needs of the training dept. I know that if HR really wanted to pull me from the pool, they would have a while ago.
Many pilots I know before during, and after my, interview are there now. Some were even my FO's. In fact I encouraged them to apply. I think that my placement is about what type of aircraft I'll be sloted to match my qual's, which should be -400 ANC. I am more than happy to wait it out since I know I haven't set the record as the longest poolie.I believe and have faith a call will come. When that record is set for longest poolie, it will be time(as in take the pebble from my hand you may leave, grasshopper). Until then the beer is cold at humpy's. Fishing season is coming and the best part-the daylight is getting longer. See ya in ANC.
