Actually, yours is a great analogy. DALPA is thrilled about taking some of the company's pawns, in exchange for us losing knights and rooks. Puts the company that much closer to checkmate. If not this contract, then the next one. And what does checkmate mean to the company? A completely virtual airline where the various portions of the brand are flown by pilots who agree to do it at the lowest cost.
