A comparison at captain 5 year mark:
NWA- $130
United- $122
US air- $116
VA- $120
At 10 years:
NWA- $135
United- $128
US air- $122
VA- $145
So if you bother to take into acount the increase VA is not paying far below indusrty standards at the Legacies. In fact 5 year 320 captains at VA will be paid more then 320 captains at US air
That being said depends on how many years they allow the $5 increases for
in these comparisons you show VA taking pay raises for 5 and 10 years (someone said raises only go for 5 years, ???) while the other airlines are still working in todays dollars. not really a fair comparison. you need to apply any raises that those airlines might be getting. don't forget to include continental, alaska, american, southwest and delta. they may not be flying the 320 but the 737 is comparable
how do the FO's rate as well. everyone seems to leave them out. in 5 years it will take awhile to upgrade.
