You're taking a crash course on the airplane and systems, so whatever you need to feel comfortable helping you study at the end of the day is what you need to bring. It will be like trying to drink water from a fire hose, even for those that have been through this before.
I personally end up highlighting and tabbing my manuals, but that is just me. Know the important stuff like the back of your hand, and know how to find the rest of the information fast.
I find that small study groups (4 people max - i.e. two sets of sim partners if assigned that early) work better than larger groups. Quiet settings. Meet often. Ask questions and get answers to stuff you don't know from the instructors.
Does anybody know if Silver gives you a flight deck poster to use for home study?
