I doubt our fleet reduction will happen over night. The reduction may take years to be implemented and we are still waiting for the DL pilots to make a decision on the TA anyways. As for the XJT side being "furlough protection" I believe it's part of the game. You were hired by the new XJT and placed at the bottom of the list. You should have been well aware of that when you accepted the job. Who's to say United doesn't slash your flying? It could happen and the situation would be no different. We are one company now and I know all of us hate it.
