Another school of thought might be that Spirit pilots owe the previous MEC for giving up countless hours doing obviously thankless work that positioned the airline to hire you.
I'd suggest flying the line, volunteering for some ALPA grunt work, and knock off the flame-baiting.

Perhaps you are right. It isn't my place to critique work of previous MEC volunteers. I apologize, it wasn't my characterization just popular opinion.
As to doing work that positioned the company to hire me....well all that could mean is a concessionary contract that gave the company money to grow. Is that what you meant? If so, then I hope we do better next time around.
Volunteering? When I am off probation I'll be there.
