Time at home with the kids and wife has always been more important to me, more important than a bigger W2. I guess that's why after 25 years and 4 kids, I'm still married to wife number 1. (that and with the 42% pay cut, I can't afford a divorce lawyer!

)
It would be nice if I could afford to retire in the next 3 years though, but this T/A does nothing to help me get out of my seat.
Now I hear there is a group of LCA's trying to eliminate age 65...so we've got that going for us.
Fly 'til
Any bets on how many (North) guys are going to take this "Early Out"? Only 182 took the last early out and 95% were from the North side. My bet is there won't be anything close to 350 this time, and again, 95% will be from the DB funded side. The South Side guys just don't have the money.
I hear you and I agree about the South side guys. If I was within a year I would be the proverbial dot but from what I've heard even our oldest guys are not interested. For the North guys the additional money and medical care will get a bunch but I think 300 is a stretch. As to the age 65 comment, being on the inside I can tell you that's pure bs! There might be some that want to but none to my knowledge are pursuing it. Do I think it will happen, yes, but it's at least 7 years down the road in my humble opinion and I will be a full time duffer.
