As per the TA, 50 seat RJs (operated by more regionals than just us) don't START to leave until Delta receives 717s. These are scheule to start in 2nd half 2013. This isn't going to happen overnight! You're not going to be furloughed!
United is under negotiations, what happens if they want to do the same? You need to look around more than just Delta. Take a look at the whole industry including positives such as future hiring etc.
Lastely, when a company wants to rush a contract there is a reason, potential American flying??

You may be right, but leaving in the second half of 2013 is a lot different than what JoeMerchant (shocking) was claiming about the planes leaving at the end of 2015, see what I'm saying?
Am I'm not so much worried about being furloughed as being stagnated in the right seat forever. And again, lest I start some "I had spend five years on reserve and seven til I upgraded so you should shut up" hate thing, I have much respect for those that stuck it out that long, but I can't do that. So for me the prospect of a stagnation of movement over a long period isn't much better than a furlough. I gambled on taking a shot at the regionals; I don't have a decade to spend there before I move on.
