I am glad this was posted, as I plead guilty to the Guess the Clearance part at times.
Because I thought I heard 11,000, but am not sure, I repeat 11,000. The controller comes back and says, ONE ZERO thousand.
I now realize that we as pilots cannot rely on the controllers to play mother for us, catching all our mistakes.
