Do any of you look at the pilot attrition data the company has begun putting out? I cant help but notice th number of "terminations" this year. I have been here just over 5 years and I can only recall 1...maybe 2 people being let go. 5 seems like a lot. No?
Any insight on why these people are getting "terminated"? (NO names please..)
I also heard of one being fired while on probation this year due to always calling in sick..I to have noticed an increase in firings. A lot may be due to a weak union we have. There also seems to be multiple abuse by crew scheduling due to no interaction by the union as well. Alot of people dont even call the scheduling hotline anymore feeling it no longer does any good so they just put up with the abuse.
