The flight school I used to work for was visited by the cops a few weeks back who took an airplane, a bunch of tools and spare parts and I think some computers because the owner lost a lawsuit. The CFIs scrambled to get their personal belongings out of the place before the cops got that too. One of the items taken was their fuel truck. The employees were told to refuel using their own credit cards because no one at the field will give them credit now. Then I heard from my wife in the insurance field that the school is losing its insurance because of lack of payment. I feel bad for the instructors whose paychecks are bouncing. How much liability to the managers have in all this? The chief pilot *HAD* to have known what was coming....
