its unfortunate, but accidents happen. Its an experience that has taught you more than any class/instructor ever could. Get back into flying and keep applying until you get a job. Majors not hiring you because of an accident??? I don't know, but I do know that there are no perfect pilots, just those that learn from their mistakes. I would recommend CFI'ing in the meantime, I am sure your recency of experience will be more of a concern than the accident at this point............anyway good luck.

P.S. Getting hired at a major nowadays has very very little to do with your record, piloting skills, more to do with networking than anything
