Sounds like the best thing you guys have over ASA is that anything added if your below 75 gets added on top (We need this) and the 3 hour max deduct for conflicting trips going into the next month (We need this too). Otherwise with our PBS I used one week vacation and blocked only 33 hours for the month and got paid 75 (one 3 day and one 4 day). Now this then makes it impossible to pick anything up because it gets added to the 33 hours of block I was at. So I would essentially need to work 42 hours for "free." Aside from that I'd say I could easily get 40 off in a row if I paired up 2 months consecutively doing this (but two 75 hours months would mean a crappy pay check).
Also, I dont see combining the very best of our two contracts into one happening. I'd LOVE for this to happen, but this would be a contract that would destroy any other regional out there and I suspect our costs would be comparatively too high. (Good luck getting on GoJet or Pinchanickle or RAH's levels when it comes time for an RFP). Pilot pay can't BK a company, but in the regional world I can see it making us relatively more costly, and thus not making us competitive in our industry. That CAN lead to a BK or stagnation over time. Im not a lifer (just sayin) but lets just get this contract done and enjoy some more flying.....
