Wake up son and realize were dug in and ready to battle with management to keep what we have and if we as a group stick together there's nothing you can say to get us to step down to your world.
It just so happens that the 50 seat issue is happening in the Delta world rather than the United world. Don't think for a minute United is exempt from this and expect United to follow Delta's footsteps. It's easy to sit on your "secure" high horse and talk trash about our Delta flying but we've been operating mostly nothing but Delta for over 30 years so the games that go on are not new to us. If the 50 seat possibilities were on the United side you wouldn't be smiling so much over there would you?
Bottom line is that anything that happens in the Delta system is also your problem, that much is 100% certain. I understand the shooting for the moon concept and applaud you guy's for being that way as I think it will push the unions to go after good things for us while still remaining reasonable in the business aspect. If you're looking to get paid 120 hrs while working 30 then you REALLY need to work on your expectations. I don't mind working for my money but certainly want things in the contract to protect the pilot group from abuse.
P.S. Pardon me from not reading red's post before posting as my view's reflect some of the same posted in his reply.
