It happened with the ESOP, post bankruptcy stock allocation and bond issue. Be prepared. Prepare your family especially. Striking is not fun, in fact it sucks, one of the worst things I have ever gone through. You thought bankruptcy was bad, wait until the 3rd week of a strike when no paycheck is coming, you see friends crossing the line and your wife says "OK tuff guy how are we going to pay the mortgage and feed the family". That is when you see cracks in the unity. You see friends cross and United planes flying. WE wont shut United down totally with the ability to transfer pax to USAir, regional partners, and STAR partners. With the scabs already at United from 85 and Continental from 83 some of United planes will be flying from the beginning of the strike. Vote yes, but just realize what you are empowering the MEC with and be ready, ready to walk away. You may never come back. Are you ready for that.
3rd week with no paycheck coming?
I've survived over 300 weeks of no UAL paycheck coming.
That supposed to be scary?
