Despite the chest thumping on this forum the legacy asa guys and legacy xjt guys aren't that far apart in what we want out of this contract. We want a fair contract that allows some semblance of being respected as a regional airline pilot. We are the largest regional in the world and have the potential to save 40+ million a year in the merger and possibly more if we harmonize our fleet or merge with skywest. We can still be competitive but right now we are being torn apart by vocal minorities on each side with their own agendas. We have an intelligent management team but they are also playing a game with their own agenda that no one can quite figure out right now.
I agree completely, +1
As to the contract, I guess my rep was a little off when I talked to him almost two months ago and he said to expect a TA "in May or at least by the end of June". Which is fine, I'm in no hurry. I have lots of sections I'm not willing to compromise on and I'd have even more if I was a fJXT guy.
