Just maybe it will mean the commuters start raising the starting pay to attract people into the profession. Those who really want that proverbial "golden" ring won't have a problem getting in the time. If you are not in the military there are plenty of banners to tow, people to instruct, fish to spot, bush to fly etc. to get the time for the ATP. Sort of like it was back in the 80's when you had to have a couple thousand hours to get on at a commuter. Hopefully the shortage is real and pay to work never returns.
