It's a pity you see scope through such a narrow straw. This is a significant improvement in scope for the Delta pilots. Fewer 76 seat jets, fewer 70-seaters (can't be honest if you aren't counting jumbo turboprops), fewer 50 seaters, more mainline block hours within the Delta brand, improved code share language, improved joint venture protections, improved furlough protection. Plus more pay, improved reserve guarantee, significantly improved sick leave and LTD. No surprise it passed.
When it came to scope and the most mainline substitutive jets that DCI can have, we significantly weakened the language of the PWA.
You may be okay with selling scope for pay and setting a precedent that we will continue to weaken scope in the future for pay, I am not.
Or maybe I should be. Maybe next contract, as long as I get a raise I don't care what you do with scope as long as you give me an NNP that says "it better." No wait. "it
significantly better."
