Getting a bit nit picky?

Various carriers have names for categories- at DL if you're a vast majority of 757/767 pilots, you're a 7ER pilot for your category. Thus shorted to ER.


The MD-88/90 category is the M88 for bidding purposes... thus the "88."


super 80 has it's cultural roots at American.


I think you prove my point....why would you say to someone from another airline I fly the "ER". Makes it seem somehow you are better then your fellow co-workers who just fly the 767. Thus a Tool!! Oh I fly international thus I am far superior.
Why would someone else from another airline know or care what a ER or Super 80 is, just say 767 or DC9!!
