I think you prove my point....why would you say to someone from another airline I fly the "ER". Makes it seem somehow you are better then your fellow co-workers who just fly the 767. Thus a Tool!! Oh I fly international thus I am far superior.
Why would someone else from another airline know or care what a ER or Super 80 is, just say 767 or DC9!!

When talking amongst ourselves we refer to it as ER or 88 or whatever... The ER categories at DL do domestic flying as well- a lot of it. There's only one 767 "domestic" category left which is in ATL, and it goes far senior to the ER. So, no, it's not a superiority thing.
