Yes commuting is still a choice because if you just had bought your house in MSP before you got hired then you wouldn't have had this problem. Which is true for anyone contemplating interviewing with Delta, you need to purchase your house now in the base you hope to get.

Although, I was told the other day living in base is a choice or something because if you get MD'd off your equipment to a smaller paying one then that's your fault for not commuting to a higher paying one. So commuting or not commuting is a choice and will be used against you in whatever way is necessary to the it's all your fault narrative.

So just remember, going to work is a choice. You choose to do it. And everything that happens after that is all your fault.
