Not even the union was trying to tell us the work rule changes wouldn't result in fewer pilots. First they said 300. Finally they lowered it to 125.
I'm guessing its at least 300.

From the MEC "Touch & Go" --

Productivity:
The changes to the scheduling sections of the Tentative Agreement may result in a net loss in pilot staffing of approximately 125 positions. This number is net of all changes to the contract including bid period adjustments, change to ALV/TLV, changes to reserve, increased pay for vacation, increased pay for CQ Training, and all other changes associated with this TA.

The union maintained from the start that the change in ALV and reserves being allowed ALV plus 15 would cost 300 to 340 jobs. They also maintained from the start that those loses would be offset in other areas where gains were made. Examples are reserves being full at the reserve guarantee and training and vacation counting against being full. That is how the estimate of 125 jobs came about. I doubt the average pilot will notice the 125 jobs spread around the seniority list. The company dropped the block hours 5 percent in one month which equals 550 jobs. 125 jobs ends up being about 2 Captains per category. The company block hour plan will have a far greater effect on the pilot group then this contract.
