I would agree with your thinking except the E175 has a higher operating cost.(not counting crew costs).. I think that some of the leases will need to be "swapped" around.. Im guessing the Canadians had a better deal going for the 900's, as the factory needs a aircraft order BAD!!....
Also, the assembly line is supposedly backed up with e190/195 orders so it is a bit of a wait to get E170/175's. Bombardier probably has more spare capacity at the ready.
