#1: Don't trust anyone in management, including HR. Their job is to fill classrooms right now. Yes, you could be fired. Will you get your job back? Most likely. When? Who knows. You won't be getting paid during that time off (Not that you're paid as an FO anyway...)

I have personally seen GoJet pilots getting denied a ride by other regional carriers. As was explained to me by a GJ pilot, they have very little jumpseat reciprocity with other carriers. Best to live in base and not commute if you work there.
