But you are correct I can certainly imagine someone pulling onto the runway while you are on the roll, missing the millions of candlepower of landing/taxi lights, but somehow picking up on a tiny flash while looking into the landing lights.
I hope you drive your car with the emg. flashers on as well, safety first you know. Perhaps you should always use your high beams as well, just to make sure everyone notices you.
Drama queen. I have never flown an airplane with a placard on the strobes either. How many runway incursions have there been? Day, night and low vis that only luck prevented a catastrophe? why is it #1 on the FAA most wanted list? And if your cockpit is 50 feel or less from my strobes, you are either following too closely or have crossed the hold short line, proving my point. And I do use the ice lights......my FAA approved FOM tells me to, thank you very much.....
p.s. if it's such a "tiny flash" why are your panties all in a wad over it? Maybe we should take off without those millions of candlepower landing lights, because those can blind people on parallel taxiways farther down too!
