If you read through the thread, some guys barely get wet and get called rather quick when they were interviewing, other guys need life vests/rafts because they've treaded water in the pool so long before getting called.
Consensus is that once given the thumbs up and placed in the pool, the pool is competitive and based on your overall point score. From resume/PAQ submission, phone screen, tech test, 4 phased interview in MIA, to include during the facility tour and recs, till the time you walk out the door and go home eagerly awaiting the letter that will come 14-16 days afterwards.
One pilot may interview and be placed in the pool, another guy interviews after the first guy, but gets called first.
