Some of the things I spoke about came from two very good sources. Some of it was said by Jerry Atkin prior to negotiations heating up and some of it came from United management about our positive space deadheads. Our union and the company cannot come to an agreement on deadheading mostly because management does not want to ask for relief from United.
Believe what you want but you are in a fairytale if you think a better QOL will just be placed in your lap and all you have to do is vote.
While not arguing that the company is penny pinching, which is obvious to anyone working here. Besides your statement about the deadhead, how is the company actively seeking concessions? What are they trying to take away? I have heard no details of this and would like some facts to back that claim up, if you don't mind. I would not doubt for one second, however, that the company will not agree to anything that raises their cost, and would love to make us work for less then we do now. That just ain't gonna happen. I'm sure they are being very stubborn on the contract. Would just like to know some facts.
