future freight dawg question
I'm going to be finishing my instrument/commerical tickets by august, and will start working on my CFI, II, and MEI.
I've heard of some freight companies that will start a pilot in C 206s for example, and then move them up to twins.
Is it better to have Pt. 121 experience with wanting to be a future 121 heavy int'l pilot (UPS, FedEx, or Gemini)? or go fly for a commuter to get a feel how much flying PAX sucks and to build time. Guess if I have to pay some of my dues by flying for regional, than that's what I'll do.
If I could, I'd like to just start flying cargo asap. I'm a bit anti airline/regional flying for a career.
Thinking about flying those MD-11s one day is the only thing that keeps me at my *******Y job @ applebee's
