The one benefit of a 22.5 year old MD-88, it's harder to get the birds into the front hole where the engine thingy spins around and around.
Heck I just thought they heard them coming...such a good sound
Occasionally a few even dive for cover...that or its just sheer loss of lift by imitating the wing design
