Did you know that when you happily took the job?
Next, comparing to a ramper or wheel chair pusher is laughable. They make $8 per hour. What do you make? I'll take my $80 anyway. If I want paid for every duty hour, I'm guessing it would be much less and probably all come out the same.
As for the leaving a whole extra hour early. My employee bus drops me off at the crew lounge - where I go ahead and take 10 seconds and duty in. Even if the bus dropped me off at the furthest point in the airport from the crew lounge, I'm certain it would take me much less time than an extra hour to get there. (although I do agree with dutying in at the gate).
You are a bitter dude. I feel sorry for you and all your misguided anger. Maybe you should go be a ramper so you get paid for "sitting on your ass all day"!
Not to add to this train wreck of a thread but rampers in ATL make more than 8$ an hour. I made more money working for Delta on the ramp in ATL while I was furloughed then flying.....so sad, but true.
