I quoted you because your post was the most indepth. Several others have had the same leanings in their posts. So I ask you all. If I bid for upgrade and because of something built into the system it was awarded to a junior pilot and not myself, both of us being eligible, is that okay? I cannot understand how an industry built on seniority can allow any of this to happen. So hell ya I am concerned about what a junior pilot to me is awarded. But more so, I am concerned about what I am awarded. I want every junior pilot to have all the career progression they can possibly have. But our system dictates that I should get it first, as far as pilots on our seniority list. So therefore the PBS at our company should damn well honor seniority down to the lowest possible bidder.
