I am pretty sure the ASA side has dozens of pilots willing to do base trades. And I would be shocked if the fences protect FO's.
the only problem is that he is already XJET (ERJ), if they have fences on aircraft, and there are no ERJ in ATL, how can he get awarded CRJ ATL if we have an SLI? He might be able to hold ATL, but if there are no ERJ in ATL, it would be a no-go. He would have to wait til the fence came down and the company allowed jumping equipment. We saw what happened at pinnacle...
In the past if the company is hiring and you are already on another airplane, they can choose to "bypass" your bid. The compensation is that if the plane you bid to, and if the company is hiring on to it, is that you get paid as if you were on the plane you wanted. But you stay where you are, thus saving the company training costs. Sucks.
