What I meant by "caters to all lifestyles", was that in terms of a schedule you have so many more options and much more flexibility in this job, that almost any other job, and the ability to manipulate your schedule at this airline is far superior to most other airlines. My wording was poor, but you get the gist.
You said "it does nothing for the commuter that wants...." You obviously described the best case scenario for a commuter. Our schedules may not be the best for commuters, but I believe they are at or above industry average in terms of sign in/out and credit for 4 days. 4 days off is also an industry leading provision that caters primarily to commuters' lifestyles.
I am in complete agreement with your comment about premium pay. Also, the disregard for circadian rythm in the pairing construction is appauling.
