Show time is time at the gate/plane. Thats when your duty starts.
Waking up, getting ready, eating breakfast (good luck finding any this early), riding the hotel shuttle, going through security, and navigating through the airport is all done during your "rest" time.
Depending on the airport/hotel, van departure times can be anywhere from 10 mins to 1 hour before showtime.
So that means a 4:45 show time is a 3:00 wakeup.
And I'm sure that any kind of free breakfast at the hotel isn't even available then either. If the airline has "PBS" does that mean that you can bid for schedules that have later show times?
