The fall AE will likely smooth out the over/under staffed categories but I wouldn't count on huge requirements for more pilots overall. I agree: wouldn't count on any hiring until next year at the earliest. I do note you're not accounting for opposite staffing changes, such as vacation credit going up, but let's just be cautiously optimistic. The real staffing battle will center on the new rest rules in general, and augmentation in particular.
I still would update my stuff to show interest, though. When it starts, it could become very interesting.
