So I bumped into 2 different captains in the crew room the other day, they had just been in recurrent, and told me some news. Apparently ASA has more or less secured the Miami Eagle flying and that our over water converted 200's are doing the flying. They also said that the Dallas base was also going to be likely operated by ASA. Anybody else hearing this? Sounds quite a bit optimistic...
What's with you guys and taking Eagle's "open water flying" thing? The ATRs and Embraers that currently do the Bahama and Key West flying are no different from the ones doing domestic flying over land. Even the ATRs in SJU don't carry life rafts anymore because they never get far enough from land. And why would AMR want more unprofitable 50 seat flying?

Rumors that come from recurrent classes are the best. Only second to, "a mechanic told me.."
