Agreed, it does suck. For an airline that's never competed for contracts (correct me if I'm wrong), I would expect you to be more costly per block hour than one that has competed. American put the flying up for bid, and SkyWest Inc. did just that.
With all the pay and contract cuts they're proposing from eagle, I don't know how anyone could be cheaper. It's garbage.
