(Erlanger, Ky.) – Employees of Comair could learn the fate of their jobs and the future of the Erlanger-based airline Friday morning.

The Delta Air Lines has been rumored to considering shutting down the regional subsidiary as no Comair flights have been scheduled in October. Comair has told its employees that Delta will announce the results of a strategic review by July 31.

An announcement is planned by Delta officials at about 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Comair employs over 800 people at the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport. The carrier has about 1,600 total employees.

If Delta does decide to close Comair, employees would have to be notified at least 60 days in advance.
