Speaking of Airplane!, I was thinking today while we were parking at a gate in Atlanta, what if the red light is out?

I remember sitting JS on a 764 flying ORD-ATL (clean up after bad weather) and I took a brace position behind the Captains seat waiting for us to smash into the terminal. I am not used to being that high or that close the terminal.
