Ouch! Yes, this is all kosher. It is out of the ordinary though. We just don't generally think of trips popping into open time in the early evening, but some do. This should have only been your trip IF CS didn't have another LC pilot without an assignment for a trip or SC on the 25th.Once you were assigned that SC on the 25th you should move below all other LC pilots for trips the next day. Other than that, it's your trip. You are always on LC if you are not currently on SC or a trip OR if CS has assigned you "rest". (You are automatically released on your last RES day at 12 N, but I've always thought that was a little useless, since they can't call you for a trip that is less than 12 hours out, unless it is an inverse assignment.) You will not be "released" from LC, only SC. Is that clear?
