My guess is that the one last week was not planned by either SPSC. The one yesterday was preplanned for permits and the like. It was probably considered necessary by the UAL guys but not the CAL guys. It is a shame that it couldn't have been joint but the MECs are still way apart on the direction each wants this to go. Not saying which side is at fault because they both have merit. The battle was lost the second the merger was announced and we didn't have a joint plan. Groundwork was laid during the previous merger talks but neither side could agree on tactics. Seems like both sides thought they would be screwed by the other.
