Those in Asia that are interested in hiring contract pilots usually take FAA/ICAO with no problems. What they desire / require for their "cadets" I don't know. Perusing the current want-ads shows most
that are hiring taking both. All of the Indian carriers were, too, although expat hiring there is now at a standstill.
I'll be glad to bring you from "zero to ATP" for 50K. You'll have to pay me in advance. After all, it's not that expensive.
