Yes, and Jetblue was bailed out by Lufthansa. Funny how low cost union carriers like SWA and AT didn't have to do the same.

Why don't you go do some research? look at the causal forecasting the airlines had in place around, oh I don't know, say September 10th 2001. Then, come back to me with their revised forecasts and corrective action which many announced just after September 11th.
I know of one external variable that hit the Legacies like a Mack Truck. Any idea what that might have been? I'll give you a clue, it wasn't internal variables like union action!
BTW, non union carriers like Skybus, EOS, and Maxjet all suffered due to the same external variable.
