I could be wrong, but it seems that being an 8 year JB captain is not the worst position to be in. I suppose with so many retirements coming though, one can look forward to sitting in the right seat for something over a decade instead of the current 16+
I never said it was the worst position, in reality it's not bad. I just don't think it's a career here. I think I would be happier at a select number of airlines, and if I were to get hired, I wouldn't look back. I sure won't miss the stupid uniforms, horrible insurance or the constant reminders from mgmt. telling me how good I have it.
It just gets old after awhile listening to people that I don't respect telling me that I have to work considerably harder than my peers for about 30% less total compensation, while they screw up every NE weather event and collect millions in bonuses.
I was at a legacy prior to 9/11, and I liked it a lot better.
