Unfortunately, this ticket is on China Southern Air in Business, and the ticket I wanted to trade for on Emirates has gone up $500 in the last 5 hours. Can't seem to get hold of anyone (CP, Duty Officer, etc) who can make this happen, so it looks like I'm riding on CSA.

Next time book the ticket first, then go into expense report system and request the mid trip deviation. You need to input the data of you new DH in there anyway. As long as it is a refundable ticket if it is disapproved for some reason then just cancel the deviation ticket.
