Trust me...nothing would surprise me at this point. Still a funny premise though. Retro should be based completely on W2 hours and equipment flown don't you think?

Obviously a pilot who makes more money (senior capt on highest paying equipment) is going to have the highest retro.

Until we see the rates it's unknown I guess?

Do I have it wrong?
This doesn't make sense to me. I'm going on the definition of retro pay being the difference between old pay rate and new, multiplied by hours worked since amenable date. ( I know there are other factors such as vacation, etc) If a senior 777 captain gets a raise of, let's say, 30$/ hour, then retro is calculated back over the time he has flown since the amenable date. Now take a junior FO on the 737 who also gets about a 30$/hour raise, and calculate his/her retro back since amenable date. ThE FO will have flown many more hours than the 777 captain given the mission of the equipment therefore compounding his retro further to a higher number. In other words, Captains would get more retro than FO's if their raise is a higher number for that BES. Where am I going wrong on this logic since the captain retro numbers always seem rumored as much bigger than fo numbers.
